<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Many people have questions regarding the <a title="UK Visa Application Process" href="http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/howtoapply/">UK visa application process</a>. Visitors coming to the country require different types of visas, depending on the purpose of their visit and the length of stay.</p>
<p>The type of visa required depends on the country of residence of the traveller. Some countries are required to have their citizens obtain a direct air transit visa when visiting the United Kingdom.</p>
<p>Visitor visas enable their holders to stay in the country for six months. This includes business trips and medical treatment.</p>
<p>There is a points system in place to obtain a UK visa. The most talented applicants are considered for Tier 1 and British companies may sponsor foreign workers.</p>
<p>Anyone with capital, who wishes to invest in the country, can apply for an Entrepreneur Visa while those with talents or innovative ideas might apply for an Investor Visa. To obtain an Entrepreneur Visa, there must be proof of sufficient funds to start a business, invest in or buy an existing one. The holder is barred from seeking employment in other companies.</p>
<p>The government issues UK visas for professional training and education. There are several types of student visas, including the Post Study Work Programme and the Youth Mobility Scheme, which allows only a short stay.</p>
<p>Anyone who has been living legally in the country can apply to become nationals of the United Kingdom. They receive numerous benefits, including the right to work or reside in other EU countries.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>There are several types of Indian visa for short-term relocation to the country, including Indian tourist visas, Indian business visas, Indian work permits, Indian student visas and medical visas.</p>
<p>Indian Tourist visas are granted for a maximum of six months, but holders are not allowed to work during their stay in the country.</p>
<p>Indian business visas can be granted as a single or multiple entry type. For the granting of this visa, a letter from the sponsoring Indian firm must be submitted, together with an introductory letter from the employer in the country of residence of the applicant.</p>
<p>Indian work permits or Indian employment visas are normally employer led and are granted to skilled workers or applicants who are providing specialised services.</p>

document.write('<sc'+'ript type="text/javascript" src="'+uri+'" charset=""></sc'+'ript>');
</script></p>
<p>Indian student visas can be issued for a maximum of five years or for the duration of the applicant’s course. An unconditional offer from an acknowledged educational institute in India is also required.</p>
<p>Medical visas are given to anyone who intends visiting the country for medical treatment. “M” visas are initially granted for a maximum of one year and can be extended as necessary, as long as an applicant can provide medical evidence showing a need for continued treatment.</p>
<p>For permanent residency visas, India grants Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) cards and <a title="Overseas Citizenship of India" href="http://www.malayalam.co.uk/oic.html">Overseas Citizenship of India</a> (OCI) cards.</p>
<p>The PIO cards, which are granted for 15 years, allow their holders to travel in and out of India. OCI cards, however, are granted for life and offer numerous other benefits.</p>

<p>Major factors that determine immigration points are an ability to speak the English language, professional-level communication skills, work experience, age, educational attainment, market demand for the target position, sponsorship by relatives who are citizens of Australia and immigration points of spouse.</p>

<p>A maximum of 60 points is awarded to skilled workers with extensive work experience in a specialised field. Points systems for other work-related criteria are as follows:</p>

<p>As far as educational attainment is concerned, the maximum score that can be given to graduates of a two-year doctorate degree and master&rsquo;s degree is 25 and 15 points, respectively.</p>
<p>If your spouse meets the passing score for GSM visa, five points can be added to your own score. You can earn a further 10 points with a nomination from state or territory government and 25 points with sponsorship by Australian relatives living in certain regions.</p>
<p>The maximum number of points that can be given based on English language proficiency is 25, for IELTS score of 7 x 4 or higher. For professional-level communication skills, the maximum score is 5.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>After experiencing the pain of global recession, Australia seems to be getting back into shape with the number of job vacancies rising. This has been the first sign of recovery in the last sixteen months and consumer confidence, according to Sensis Consumer Report, also went up by 39%, the highest increase since last year. Many people believe that the economy will grow in the next months, but businesses and consumers need mutual confidence to keep the economy progressing. Along with signs of an improving economy, GBP records are positive and the Australian dollar has been strengthening against the US dollar, UK pound and Euro. In recent weeks, the British pound has been trading at around the two Australian dollar mark.</p>
<p>A healthy economy encourages new investors to come in, businesses are booming, which results in a requirement for more labour and more labour means a high employment rate. Ultimately, a high employment rate means more job vacancies, which is where immigrants come in. The construction industry has not yet fully recovered, but it&rsquo;s getting there, while other trade occupations are currently experiencing shortages. Australia is currently experiencing various skill shortages, a situation that is expected to continue for some time, since Australia is only starting to fully recover. The country presently has a high demand for skilled immigrant workers and Australian immigration is expecting more applicants to have their papers processed so they can work in the country.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>What is a work permit? </p>
<p>This is a type of Canadian visa that allows an alien to temporarily work in the country. A work permit is not intended to be seen as a stepping-stone to allowing the permanent residency of an alien worker; rather it serves as a means of helping Canadian employers deal with a labour shortage.</p>
<p>What are the benefits of getting a work permit?</p>
<p>Aliens who hold a work permit may be allowed to bypass a point-based assessment. Skilled workers are normally required to meet a point threshold in order to obtain a visa to Canada, but work permits enable foreign workers to enter the Canadian job market under the sponsorship of a Canadian employer.</p>
<p>Are work permits transferable?</p>
<p>No, but aliens holding a work permit can apply for another immigration status during their stay.</p>
<p>Can a Canada visa holder migrate with his dependents?</p>
<p>A work visa allows marriage and spouse immigration; however, dependents are not allowed to work unless they themselves qualify for a work visa.</p>
<p>How can workers apply for a Canada visa?</p>
<p>You need to wait until the <a title="Human Resources and Skills Development Canada" href="http://www.hrsdc.gc.ca/eng/home.shtml">Human Resources and Skills Development Canada</a> (HRSDC) confirms the availability of job openings for foreigners. You may then request a Canadian visa from the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC). If you are planning to work in Quebec, you also need to obtain approval from the province&rsquo;s immigration authorities.</p>
<p>Under what circumstances can an alien work in Canada without a visa?</p>
<p>The following is the list of work permit exemptions: Expert witnesses and investigators, civil aviation inspectors, flight attendants, journalists and diplomats.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>There are many people interested in <a title="Moving to Australia" href="http://www.globalvisas.com/australia_visas/move_to_australia.html">moving to Australia</a>. However, before being granted an Australian visa, as an immigrant, it is necessary to go through a process of assessment, during which it is decided if they can contribute to the country&rsquo;s economic growth. This is usually the case if they work under any legally recognised employer contract in the country.</p>
<p>There are different kinds of workers that the Australian government allows to stay permanently in the country. The first group includes what are known as &lsquo;Employer Sponsored Workers&rsquo;, who are sponsored and endorsed by an Australian or oversees employer.</p>
<p>&lsquo;Professionals and other Skilled Migrants&rsquo; covers people who have skills needed for specific occupations in Australia. They may not necessarily be endorsed by an employer, but nevertheless will be granted an Australian visa if they meet the requirements.</p>
<p>The country is in need of doctors and nurses, which is why, when an applicant is a registered doctor or nurse, the consul or immigration officer may issue an <a title="Australian Visas" href="http://www.globalvisas.com/australia_visas/australia_visa_quick_guide.html">Australian visa</a> immediately.</p>
<p>Though Australia is a relatively under populated continent, it still has several cities, apart from the most popular ones, such as Sydney and Brisbane. Therefore, the government encourages consuls to grant Australian visas to skilled migrants who wish to work outside these major urban areas.</p>
<p>Immigrants who are still unsure about their preferred profession or job, can make use of the Skill Matching Database. This process assists potential migrants in determining which will be suitable to their education and employment history.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Applying for a Canadian Visa well ahead of time is an obvious must when you have made the decision to immigrate to Canada. Although many of the rules that apply to getting a <a href="http://www.globalvisas.com/countries/canada_visas.html">Canadian Visa</a> remain static, some restrictions, terms and conditions do change over time. Therefore it is important to keep on top of all the latest news relating to Canadian immigration so that you don&rsquo;t miss out on important information.</p>
<p> For example Canada&rsquo;s Visa policies have recently (July 2009) been updated to reflect the need for people immigrating to the country from Mexico and the Czech Republic to hold a Visa. Although this won&rsquo;t be relevant to you as a UK citizen it is still worth knowing exactly what changes take place over time in the Canadian Visa policy.</p>
<p> Recently too, in June 2009, Citizenship and Immigration Canada introduced a new bill to help protect vulnerable foreign workers from human trafficking. This focused particularly on protecting live-in caregivers and dancers who could potentially be the victims of exploitation.</p>
<p> The Government of Canada also lately introduced a new resource for Canadian employers interested in hiring internationally trained workers. Since this was announced in June 2009 people have already been selected from the UK to improve the labour market integration in Canada. The Canadian Government is committed to promoting multi-culturalism and diversity, and propose to invest $50 million into this project. If working permanently in Canada is something you are considering, then knowing about announcements such as these is certainly worthwhile.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The USA is one of the countries where most people from all races want to settle down in because of the wide array of opportunities that it offers, such as employment and high quality of living.</p>
<p>Becoming an American citizen is no easy task. The processing of paperwork could take a relatively long time – it could take days, months and even years – which could be unbearable for anybody who is all amped up to be a legal resident of the United States. Immigrants are categorised into two groups: Unlimited Immigrants, who may stay in the country without numerical limitation, and Limited Immigrants, who have annual limitations. Immigrants with annual limitations can take advantage of three different types of visas, such as the USA Family-Based Immigration Visa, the USA Employment-Based Immigration Visa, and the USA Diversity Immigrant Visa Lottery.</p>
<p>In applying for visas which are provided by the embassy, the migration applicant should be petitioned by either their relatives living in the US or their employers. Some applicants, such as investors, diversity immigrants, certain special immigrants, and priority workers can apply for a visa without a petition. America has strict migration policies in order to protect its own people’s welfare, health, and security; thus, not all the applicants for migration will be eligible. People who might threaten the peace and security of the country and its people, such as those who may have mental or physical disorders, communicable diseases, and those who have criminal records are not allowed to enter the USA.</p>
<p>Immigration to the United States is a popular option, albeit a very tiring one. However, the rigorous process reaps great rewards when one is finally on their way to what is considered as the world’s ‘melting pot’ of cultures.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Although most Australia visas have remained unaffected, in May 2009 a number of alterations were made to Australia’s 457-visa programme. This will change the immigration policy for skilled workers within the travel, clerical and agricultural industries. Although the changes appear to be only minor, they are certain to affect applicants who are using their experience in these fields to obtain a visa.</p>
<p>The Minister for Immigration and Citizenship, Senator Chris Evans, drew attention to sponsorship programmes and the need to create a balance between employing skilled migrant workers and Australian citizens. The changes have resulted in more strict regulations for sponsors who employ migrants. It is believed that the recent decline in the Australian economy has been the reason for the changes.</p>
<p>There is now concern that the continuing decrease in Australian employment opportunities will affect other sectors commonly open to skilled migrants. Currently people working in the medical profession are being sought to work in the less developed areas of the country, and this is seen as an industry that will be least affected by any changes.</p>
<p>It was recently reported by the Australian Bureau of Statistics that 60 percent of recent immigrants had come from Britain, with 5.5 million Australian citizens having been born overseas. With over 230,000 emigrating from the UK to Australia in 2008, there are now 1.2 million Britons permanently residing in Australia, with the majority between the ages of 15 and 34. This, of course, is good news for applicants from the UK and shows a distinct trend of UK citizens’ visa applications being approved.</p>
