Emmigration
Emigration is the same as immigration but from the perspective of the country of origin. There are many different ways to emigrate to Australia, and the first step is to apply for an immigration visa.
The most common way to emigrate to Australia is through the skilled visa program, which consists of a points based test. The test takes into account many factors including; you’re qualifications and skills, whether your spouse is similarly qualified and whether you speak fluent English.
If you do not meet the requirements of the test, it is still possible to obtain a visa. This depends on if you have a relative living in Australia willing to sponsor you, or an employer who can guarantee you a position.
Australia also offers a Retirement Visa for people who are financially secure and who want to spend their retirement years in Australia.
Emigration to the USA can take a long time and in some cases many years. There are various steps to gain an immigration status in the US. First the States Citizenship and Immigration service have to approve your immigration petition. This is normally sponsored by a family member or a future employer.
Once your petition has been granted you must wait for an immigration visa number to become available for you. There is a limited amount of visa numbers available each year, so you may have to wait till you get issued an immigration visa number.
