Worldwide visas are numerous but as one journeys around the world, several similarities arise. However, in as much as there are similarities, worldwide visas are also as varied as the distances between the countries.

A passport is a worldwide visa requirement. In all countries, there is a facility for an individual to acquire a new passport. Modes to acquire one are different, but the sovereign states have a freedom of movement clause to enable a citizen’s travel. The passport can be renewed, amended, replaced and/or have pages added to it. A child can be given one to enable acquisition of a worldwide visa.

The worldwide visas are helpful to countries because they monitor travel arrangements of individuals or groups travelling together. Around the world, most visas can be given on entry to a particular country or at some period before the travel so that one can enter the country without much delay.

Another worldwide visa acquisition similarity is the funding aspect of travel. Many countries prefer the visiting party or parties to be self-sufficient as far as the issue of support funds goes. These finances will enable the traveller or visitor to comfortably remain in the country without depending on government support. Other countries, however, do have sponsorship for certain reasons. The time period given on a visa is similar for the visas that are time-bound. Although the timeframes vary, most countries will give a worldwide visa for a period of between one month to several years, depending on the kind of visa and the purpose one is visiting the country.
